Piano Provenzana is the starting point of Etna Nord excursions, at 1800 metres on the wildest side of the volcano. Reachable in 1h30 from Catania and 1h15 from Taormina. Yes, advance booking is strongly recommended, especially for 4x4 tours and during high season (June-September). Our excursions have limited seats to guarantee experience quality, and weekend slots fill up fast.
