Piano Provenzana sits at 1,800 metres on the northern slope of Etna, reached via the SP 59-II provincial road (Via Mareneve), about 19 km uphill from Linguaglossa.

On site you'll find parking, bars, mountain huts, and the departure point for guided excursions to the 2002 craters, the Pizzi Deneri Observatory, and the summit craters.

From Linguaglossa

Follow the provincial road SP 59-II (Via Mareneve) uphill towards Etna for about 19 km. The road is paved but has several curves and hairpin bends.

Piano Provenzana: By Train

There are no direct train connections to Piano Provenzana. The reference point for trains is the Giarre-Riposto station, from which you need to continue by other means to Linguaglossa and then use private car, taxi or rental services to reach Piano Provenzana.

From Catania: FCE bus line Catania-Randazzo via A18 (highway) with stop at Linguaglossa. From Messina: Interbus from Giardini Naxos towards Floresta with stop at Linguaglossa. From Linguaglossa to Piano Provenzana you need to use private car, taxi or rental services.
